Anežka Šejnohová

Anežka is a professional player on modern and historical flutes. Currently, she is a student of Kate Clark at The Royal Conservatoire The Hague and simultaneously is following PhD. programme at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno in The Czech Republic. She has performed as a substitute flutist with several leading Czech symphony orchestras in tours all over the world and she is the founding member of ensembles - Filigree (renaissance flute consort) and PAX (voice, traverso, harpsichord). She is also an excited and experienced music teacher.

The Royal Conservatoire The Hague
Anežka studied traverso with Kate Clark and Wilbert Hazelzet and also renaissance flute with Kate Clark. During her studies she participated in the joined project with The Julliard Schoold when students from both institutions performed side by side in three cities in The Netherlands. In December 2022 she performed Concerto in g minor by Johann Christian Schickardt with accompaniment of the school orchestra.This is your Education description.

Janáček Academy of Performing Arts
Anežka studied modern flute with Václav Kunt. During her studies she took masterclasses with János Bállint, Ashildur Haraldsdottir, Peter Verhoyed or Dieter Flury and she participated e. g. in Leoš Janáček International Competition in year 2014. She obtained her Master (MgA.) degree in year 2018 and she continued with her doctoral studies at the same academy. The matter subject of her research is exploring how the experience with a period instrument can affect the performance on the modern instrument.
2009-2013
Grammar School and Music School of the Capital City Prague
Anežka started her professional musical studies in Prage in the flute class of prof. Václav Kunt. During her studies she performed repeatedly as a solo player in Martinů Hall of the Štiřín Castle and she received first prize in the national competition Cocertino Praga in year 2011. She graduated in year 2013 and was accepted to the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno.
